The songs collected here are the result of lost minutes captured in an otherwise overly rationalized life. Like all personal collections, this one exists both for its own sake and as a solace to the collector. Still, it's more meaningful when the archive doors are opened and the wandering visitor is allowed to sift the dust.

Tales from the Trail: 1997-2007!

In commemoration of the ten year anniversary of the original cassette release of Tales from the Trail, we here at the Rob Jansen Digital Archive of Music and Musicalia are thrilled to make this classic recording digitally available to the public for the first time (complete with fabled hidden track!)!

Of course, this momentous occasion calls for bonus materials! For our visual listeners, we have dutifully transcribed all "Trail" lyrics and digitized the origianal cassette-insert artwork! Also: we are tickled to have dug up this rare photo of Rob captivating the audience at the album's western-themed record release party!

Finally, what is a commemorative reissue without...BONUS TRACKS?!? Painstakingly (and sometimes painfully) culled from the vast archival stores of the "Trail" era, these never-before-released songs capture the naïve ex-suburban grit that carried Tales from the Trail to such popular and critical heights!
